Roy Palmer

Roy Palmer

Roy discovered the Alexander Technique in the mid-90s following years of frequent back and neck pain. Impressed by the results, he resigned from his job as a business analyst and enrolled on a three-year course to train as a teacher.

Roy qualified in 1998 and has since written three books on the Alexander Technique relating to sports training. He enjoys teaching people the benefits of this remarkable method that help to alleviate the aches and pains many people suffer. Roy works mainly on a one-to-one basis, but he also runs introductory group courses; training in the workplace; and events at sports clubs for runners, footballers, cricketers, and triathletes.

He has worked with Northamptonshire and Warwickshire cricket clubs and is also a coach at Cambridge & Coleridge Athletics Club where he specialises in the javelin. Roy also writes and publishes stories in the epic fantasy, science fiction and horror genres… but please don’t ask him about these unless you have an hour or two to spare.
