These Specialist Neurological Pilates classes are designed to assist those living with a neurological condition, including MS, Parkinson’s Disease, Arthritis and stroke survivors.

Pilates can help improve movement, muscle strength, posture, alignment and function. More specifically it can help:

Parkinson’s Disease:

• helps improve posture and balance
• functional exercises to aid day-to-day movements like walking and turning
• advice and information to help if you experience ‘freezing’

Multiple Sclerosis:

• helps strengthen bones and muscles, which can help make relapses less disabling
• helps boost the immune system so can help the body fight off infection
• helps with greater joint mobility and spasticity

Arthritis:

• can help limit damage in affected joints
• help to increase flexibility and strength
• aids a more efficient lymphatic system so less toxins in the body and joints

Stroke Rehabilitation:

• helps with more efficient respiratory system – so can aid cardiovascular activities
• strength training for affected limbs with weights and resistance equipment
• practical help with sit-to-stand training, walking and climbing stairs

Classes starting April 2017

Classes will be held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month

The next block of 6 classes starts on Thursday 27th April at 2.oopm at a cost of £54.Dates included are Thursday April 27th, May 11th and 25th, June 8th and 22nd and July 13th

Refunds policy: You can cancel a block of classes up to 48hours before the new block begins and have a full refund. After this period we regret we cannot offer any refunds in full or in part.

School summer holidays: During the summer break we run a reduced classes schedule. If tutors book a late week away you will be refunded for that week.
