bootybarre-bBootybarre fuses techniques from pilates, ballet and yoga to offer a fun, challenging workout set to upbeat music. Each low impact class is an hour long and carefully structured to tone and define your entire body.

A typical class will commence with a warm up followed by a sequence of upper body exercises to target the muscles of the arms and shoulders, chest and back. Next, you will use the barre to focus on the muscles of the legs and bottom. Your core will be working throughout the entire class but also targeted towards the end of the hour. We cool down using a series of stretches to promote improved flexibility and recovery in the muscles.

As well as using a ballet barre, we use small equipment such as hand weights, resistance bands and sponge balls to effectively work each muscle group. Exercises and techniques are carefully explained and modifications suggested to enable clients with differing needs to achieve an effective work-out. Sequences are made up of simple movements – there is no complicated choreography or footwork to worry about!

Barre fitness is huge in America and has been increasing in popularity here over the last few years. The reason for the popularity is simple – it’s fun and the physical results of attending class regularly speak for themselves. Benefits include:

Classes are strictly limited to 12 places.

Please wear clothing which allows you to move freely, you will also require a pair of pilates or yoga anti-slip socks.

Bootybarre – An Introduction’ is intended to cover the fundamentals of our barre class to enable you to ‘hit the ground’ running if you decide to sign up for a block of classes. The class will enable everyone attending to learn and practice the basics of our technique and some of our fundamental exercises. There will be time to ask questions and understand ‘why’.  Our aim is to send you away having had fun, and feeling empowered and confident to join our friendly established classes.
