Nia classes have proved to be extremely popular at our Market Harborough health centre. We launched the class at the end of 2017 and our certified Nia Brown Belt teacher Ildiko Miklos already leads an often full class on Tuesday mornings.

Although all of our classes welcome new participants, we understand that it can be slightly daunting going to a class where others are more experienced. That’s the reason that we’ve launched New to Nia Playshops through February – ideal for newcomers!

These Playshops are perfect if you are unsure what a Nia class beholds, have considered joining a class or fancy adding something new to their fitness routine.

When is the Nia Playshops?

For those who want to learn more about Nia, Ildiko is offering a special Friday evening introductory Playshop to try Nia on Friday 2nd February at 6pm to 8pm. Further insight into moving consciously and understanding the basics of Nia moves and principles, is available at The Joy of being in Your Body Nia Playshop series that will take place over four Friday evenings from 23rd February, 6pm to 8pm.

You can book your place here. Be quick places are filling up fast.

What is Nia?

Nia is a body-mind-emotion-spirit movement and lifestyle practice. The fitness program draws from the wisdom of martial arts, healing arts and dance arts to improve coordination, mobility, and flexibility.

The practice improves coordination, mobility, agility, balance and flexibility. Whilst moving you gain body literacy and awareness. Nia provides mindfulness and relaxation. At last, but not least, this class is where you can have so much fun and find your community locally and worldwide too.
